Upload / Import Data
Module 1
This module is focused on uploading or connecting data into ClearQuery.
Tasks
This Walkthrough video is broken out as tasks below. Feel free to follow along or complete the tasks on your own to get comfortable with uploading a dataset.
Task 1
Identify a CSV dataset to upload (less than 200 MBs) and make sure it contains headers.

Navigate to the dataset management screen and select the upload new data set button:

Select the delimited file or CSV option, add the previously identified file:

Validate the stats provided and click "Next":

Review the auto assigned Field Types and make any necessary changes and click "Next".
The Field Types descriptions are provided below:
Categorical - is a variable that can take on one of a limited, and usually fixed, number of possible values
Date - variable that denotes a specific point in time
Decimal - a number with decimal points
Identifier - a variable to points to a specific entity
Number - any whole number
Text - alphanumeric data that does not meet the requirements of the Categorical Field
Percent - a specified amount in or for every hundred
Ignore - this selection tells CQ to ignore this column within the dataset
Auto - the tool analyzes the provided inputs and chooses the best available option

Review the information on the page and click "Next" to start the upload:
